Disability Services

We aim to make Albury an inclusive and accessible city for everyone and provide social and economic opportunities for people with disability. We have an Access Committee which advises Council on improvement across the city and plays an advocacy role to help reduce barriers and raise awareness of access requirements for our city.

We also have a Disability Inclusion Action Plan in place to help us support our residents with disability. Intereach is the Local Area Coordination and Early Childhood Partner for the National Disability Insurance Agency and assists people aged who live with a disability, their carers and families to understand, access and navigate the NDIS. Multiculturalism

We strive to create equal and inclusive communities, where diversity is encouraged, celebrated and respected. Our services and programs aim to meet the needs of our culturally and linguistically diverse residents.

We consult with various community groups and agencies to identify and address barriers faced by new and emerging communities.

The Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau is an organisation which coordinates cultural exchange programs and events in our libraries and within Community Centres.
