Wood Fired Oven
When you have some fire, some delicious food and a space for the community to share, you end up with a pretty amazing thing.
The Community Wood Fired Ovens provides a unique and fun way for people to interact with each other and develop new connections and friendships.
Anything you can cook in a regular oven can be cooked in the wood fired oven. Bring your ingredients, invite your friends and meet us at Hovell Tree Park, near the Albury Swim Centre, to discover the delicious tastes of wood fired food.
The ovens are fired up every second Sunday for free community use. An expert Oven Coordinator is on hand to help (guidance only – you do the fun bits).
During daylight savings (October–March) the oven is open for baking from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For the rest of the year (April–September) the oven is open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Factors such as baking requirements, oven temperatures and arrival time may result in our Ovens Coordinators not being able to accommodate your baking requests.
If you have any questions regarding our ovens or preparation of your items for baking, please call (02) 6023 8111 or email info@alburycity.nsw.gov.au.
