Cr Alice Glachan

Cr Glachan grew up in Albury, attended local schools and worked in the family newsagency before moving away for university.

Alice has worked in Japan, served as an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy and worked as an Academic Registrar in the UK.

Alice and her husband Nicholas moved home from the UK with their two small sons in 2001.  They owned and operated a 7 day a week small business 2007 to 2019.

More recently Alice has had a number of roles in the not for profit and charity sector.  Alice was elected to Council in 2004 and served as Deputy Mayor in 2008, and Mayor 2009 - 2012.
