Blues guitar prodigy Nathan Cavaleri brings solo show to Albury

Australian renowned Blues-rock guitarist and storyteller Nathan Cavaleri will bring his powerful solo show Growing Pains to the Albury Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 29 April at 7.30pm.

25 Mar 2026

From child prodigy to cancer survivor, from global stages to mental health collapse, Nathan Cavaleri’s journey is anything but ordinary. By 12, he was at the centre of a bidding war between the labels of Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna. By 16, he’d toured the world with B.B. King, played the Kennedy Center in front of the Clintons, and shared stages with icons like Etta James and Bonnie Raitt — all while becoming a familiar face to millions across Australia and the U.S.

But while the spotlight beamed bright, a much quieter struggle was playing out behind the scenes. At its core, Growing Pains is not about fame — it’s about being human.

In this deeply personal and emotionally charged solo show, told by Nathan through story and song, he weaves music and storytelling into a powerful narrative that traces his life from busking in Campbelltown to the heights of stardom, the depths of anxiety and burnout, and the eventual rediscovery of purpose and passion.

Raw, funny and ultimately uplifting, Growing Pains transcends nostalgia. It’s a soulful, real-time reckoning with the highs, lows and healing that define a life lived out loud.

Venue Manager Brendan Maher said the performance offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience an artist’s story in an intimate and powerful way.

“Nathan Cavaleri’s journey is remarkable, and Growing Pains is a deeply personal performance that combines incredible musicianship with honest storytelling,” Mr Maher said.

“We’re excited to bring this show to Albury as part of our 2026 Theatre Season and give audiences the chance to connect with such an inspiring story,” Mr Maher said.

Kicking off the concert is supporting artist and rising local star Jack Gregory from Yackandandah, bringing an added layer of excitement to an already remarkable show.

The performance forms part of the Albury Entertainment Centre’s 2026 Theatre Season, Step into the Spotlight, a program of performances designed to transport audiences into new worlds, spark reflection and create memorable shared experiences.

The venue’s membership program offers a range of benefits for both new and returning patrons.

Tickets for Nathan Cavaleri’s Growing Pains are available now through the Albury Entertainment Centre website.
