Disrupt, persist, invent: Australians in an ever-changing world invites visitors to question, reflect and consider how a fair and equal Australia can be achieved.
Through powerful stories of ordinary and extraordinary Australians, visitors will discover how people have driven change in areas including women’s rights, marriage equality, science and technological invention. From bold protests to quiet persistence, the exhibition highlights the many ways individuals and communities can make a difference.
“Disrupt, persist, invent encourages visitors to think critically about society and their own role in shaping change,” said Albury LibraryMuseum’s Carina Clement.
“It offers inspiring examples of Australians who have made a lasting impact.”
This exhibition is a National Archives of Australia touring exhibition supported by Visions of Australia and the National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach Program.
A Disrupt, persist, invent learning resource is available for teachers to guide self-directed visits. Students can engage with archival records, explore social issues, and consider how they might create positive change.
This free exhibition can be viewed at the Albury LibraryMuseum daily from 10am until 7 December 2025.
