The magic returns: WinterGlow to light up Albury on 9 August

With snow falling, lights sparkling, music thumping and markets buzzing, WinterGlow 2025 will see the city come alive after dark.

This FREE family-friendly event, held in QEII Square and along Dean Street from 6pm to 10pm, will feature light installations, hands-on creative workshops, roving performers, street food, late-night trading and a stellar main stage line-up.

Headline act Yo! Mafia - renowned for her genre-blending DJ sets and an official DJ for RNB Fridays Live - will bring high-energy party anthems to the WinterGlow stage.

Also performing are three rising stars with strong regional ties:

• Iilysh Retallick, the 17-year-old from Culcairn, who wowed audiences on this year’s Australian Idol season, with her powerhouse rock vocals.
• Livy B, Albury local and 2024 Australian Idol Top 21 finalist, brings her alt-pop-rock energy home for a crowd-pleasing hometown set.
• JB and Me, a high-energy cover band from Northern Victoria, will serve up pitch-perfect harmonies and fresh takes on crowd favourites.

Albury Mayor Kevin Mack said WinterGlow brings the CBD to life in a way that celebrates the best of the city.

“WinterGlow is more than a night out – it’s a celebration of creativity, culture and community,” Mayor Mack said. “It brings people together in the heart of the city, showcases incredible homegrown talent, and creates a vibrant after-dark experience that our local traders and visitors all enjoy.

“From sparkling lights to live music and hands-on workshops, WinterGlow delivers a magical winter experience for all ages.”

Visitors can explore, create and indulge with:

• Hands-on workshops: Enjoy street art, ice sculpture, drumming and craft workshops.
• Night markets: Browse local stalls, artisan goods and handmade wares under twinkling lights.
• Food & drink: Sample an array of street-food delights and warm winter treats from local vendors and eateries.
• Activations: Experience the silent disco, scavenger hunt, face painting and games, and glide across the synthetic ice rink (small fee applies).
• Late-night shopping: Albury CBD businesses will trade late, so you can explore the city at your own pace.
