Music in the Gardens presents Andrea Kirwin and Claire Evelynn

Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter Andrea Kirwin and Celtic harpist Claire Evelynn have been performing together at festivals and events since 2008, when Claire joined Andrea’s band. Their unique blend of enchanting harp, warm rhythm guitar and Andrea’s soulful vocals, harmonica, cigar box guitar and stomp has been described as spellbinding and emotionally captivating.

Since their debut tour of 20 intimate Queensland venues in 2021, Andrea and Claire have continued to enchant audiences along Australia’s east coast, and internationally at the Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival in New Zealand and the Maleny Music Festival in 2023.

Andrea’s music draws on her multicultural upbringing in Townsville and personal stories of love, while Claire’s graceful harp enriches each performance with gentle, heartfelt harmonies. Together, they offer a moving musical experience.

“Music in the Gardens is all about bringing the community together in a relaxed, beautiful setting to enjoy exceptional live music,” said Albury Mayor Kevin Mack. “Andrea and Claire’s performance promises an unforgettable afternoon of music and visitors can also explore the newly opened The Avenue – a stunning feature of the Botanic Gardens right near the stage.”

The Gardens will transform into a vibrant open-air amphitheatre, with lawns perfect for relaxing on a picnic rug or chair. Food and drinks are available for purchase, or you can bring your own.

This is the final Music in the Gardens concert for 2025 – an opportunity to experience an evocative blend of island-inspired folk while enjoying the beautiful Botanic Gardens and the newly opened The Avenue.

The much-loved series will return in 2026, on the third Sunday in March.
