Located on the corner of Bogong Street and Thurgoona Drive, Ernest Grant Park is a large open space that includes:

  • Australian Football oval with synthetic cricket pitch
  • District level all-inclusive play space
  • Skate Bowl
  • Pump track
  • Concrete Linking pathways
  • Shelters, barbecue, seating, and picnic settings
  • Two car park areas (Eastern & Western)
  • Exercise equipment
  • Public toilet

Ernest Grant Park is dedicated to Private Ernest Francis Grant, of Thurgoona killed in action on 18 August 1966, aged 20, during the battle of Long Tan in the Vietnam Conflict 1962-1972.  The plaque was unveiled by his father Gordon Grant, ESQ. on 16 August 1987.
