Wonga Wetlands Trail

A unique environmental experience exists downstream from Albury along the floodplain of the Murray River – the Wonga Wetlands.

The Wonga Wetlands (Wonga Wetlands) are home to around 150 species of birds, which can be seen throughout the year in their natural habitat. You can also see ancient river red gums and a traditional Wiradjuri campsite.

There are around 3 kilometres of walking tracks that allow people to experience the all the natural flora and fauna of the area.

Wonga Wetlands is located on the Riverina Highway, 6 kilometres west of Albury. A self-guided tour map is available from the car park area and there are facilities to safely secure your bike.

OUR
ACKNOWLEDGMENT

AlburyCity acknowledges the Wiradjuri people as the traditional custodians of the land in which we live and work and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, culture, tradition and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that contribute to our community.
