Bungambrawatha: Stories of Albury

-

This exhibition charts the history and spirit of our community through objects and photographs from the AlburyCity Museum & Social History permanent collection.

This exhibition charts the history and spirit of our community through objects and photographs from the AlburyCity Museum & Social History permanent collection.

From the Wiradjuri, who lived on and cared for this land for tens of thousands of years, to colonial settlers, to the more recent arrivals from many backgrounds who now call Albury home, we are a place of many peoples and many experiences.

Discover stories of geography and place, agriculture and manufacturing, migration and homecoming – stories of a vibrant community whose achievements have made contributions on local, national and international stages.

This exhibition was curated by Kat Kitch (Wiradjuri) and Kate Eastick

OUR
ACKNOWLEDGMENT

AlburyCity acknowledges the Wiradjuri people as the traditional custodians of the land in which we live and work and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, culture, tradition and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that contribute to our community.
