We have installed additional CCTV cameras in the city centre to eliminate viewing blackspots and improve police capabilities.
The new cameras provide a greater field of view at two CBD locations that were not fully covered by the existing CCTV network.
These areas have been identified by NSW Police as having poor coverage on the existing Public CCTV system, which limits their ability to provide complete surveillance of these busy areas.
As part of the works, power supply issues affecting the CCTV network have also been addressed.
